KATAPULT AIMS FOR THE FRINGE
|
16:00 - 16 August 2005
|
An Aberdeen-based community theatre company is to perform at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Members
of Kincorth-based Katapult are putting the finishing touches to their
musical production of The Fifteen Streets, based on the Catherine
Cookson novel.
Around 70 people are involved in the show, including pupils from Kincorth Academy, its feeder primary schools and residents.
The Fifteen Streets is a tale of blood, passion and tragedy.
The music and lyrics were added by principal teacher of drama and director Ed Steel.
The group will take to the stage in the capital from August 22 to 27. They will then return to Aberdeen to perform in September.
