FORMER CITY MAN WINS HONOUR IN OZ

A Former Kincorth Academy pupil has been awarded a Conspicuous Service Cross from the Australian Navy.
Richard Bisset was presented with the honour for his work as a senior marine technician during a number of operations.
He joined the Royal Navy in 1978, when he was 16, as a marine engineering mechanic.
He served on HM Ships Falmouth, Shetland, Yarmouth and Beaver before discharging from the Navy in April 1988.
He then emigrated to Australia where he continued his naval career.
VANDALS who damaged a car windscreen in a North-east town are being hunted by police.
A
red Ford Fiesta was parked on the High Street in Macduff and was
damaged sometime between 10.30pm on Saturday and 6.30pm Sunday.

Farmers gather for cattle contest
YOUNG North-east farmers are set to showcase their skills later this month.
The annual overwintered cattle competition at Thainstone Centre, Inverurie, will take place on Thursday, March 24.
The popular annual event is run by Aberdeen
& Northern Marts in conjunction with the Young Farmers.
Charity for the deaf has website
A CHARITY campaigning for the needs of deaf and the hard of hearing has launched a new website.
The
RNID site will go live on Thursday and will include information on
hearing aids and on how to become a member of the charity.
