Wednesday 16th June
Congratulations to those staff and pupils who
participated in the Inter-school Business Games
2004 on Tuesday evening. The Kincorth Staff went
into the competition as reigning champions, but
were overshadowed on the night by their pupils,
who lifted this year's pupil shield. The pupils
worked hard as a team as they planned and managed
a fictional oil company, finishing the evening
off with a presentation to their "future investors".
The staff team battled hard through some tough
financial climates but were unable to match Portlethen
Academy's staff who won the teacher's shield.

Wednesday 11th May
Congratulations to all the competitors (sorry
athletes) who participated in the Sports Evening
last night. The event, held in conjunction with
Petrofac, was a huge success with mixed teams from
the two establishments playing a variety of non-competitive
sports.
The most keenly contested, and certainly the
most serious, event of the evening was the tug-of-war
where some outstanding efforts were witnessed.
The Red Team, led by head teacher Mr Bryce, proved
too strong with a convincing win in this event.
However it was not enough to take the overall prize
for the evening which was collected by the Green
Team, who collected prizes kindly donated by Petrofac.
A huge amount of effort was put in by a number
of people, although the coordinator for the evening,
Gary Giles PT (PE) at Kincorth Academy, must be
singled out for praise. His unrelenting efforts
certainly paid off in a night we will remember
for a long time to come. Here's looking forward
to next year!
