Q. How are you?
A. Great. The weather is a bit too windy
over here but good.
Q. What have you enjoyed about
you stay?
A. Finding out what we have in common,
the Scottish system of education, tour of Edinburgh.
It was interesting to see how English was taught as
a native language instead of a foreign language.
Q. Have you been sight seeing
in Aberdeen?
A. Yes. We looked as we were travelling
from Aberdeen Airport. We have also been to the winter
gardens and the Town House.
Q. How did the partnership with
Kincorth Academy start?
A. It began 2 years ago when Reverend
McKenna visited Gomel and found out Aberdeen and Gomel
were twin cities. We had the idea to link the two schools
and then Mr Tullock and Miss Digges visited school 71.
Q. Why did you decide to start
the partnership?
A. Europe should be have no boundaries
and the children are our future. It is a mutual benefit
and great to meet new people.
Q. What do you hope to achieve
with this partnership?
A. The understanding of Aberdeen’s
culture, finding out we have much in common, speaking
with students and the Scottish pupils can learn Russian.
Q. Would you like to take part
in the student exchange?
A. Next year some time because there are
lots of preparations to make.
Q. In what ways is Aberdeen different
from Gomel?
A. Aberdeen is a granite city, Gomel is
multi-coloured, Aberdeen has lots of houses where as
Gomel is mostly high-risen. The Gomel population is
twice as much as the Aberdeen population but they are
both the 2nd largest cities in their countries. There
is more blooming flowers in Aberdeen and Aberdeen is
a sea-port where as Gomel is a river port.

in School 71 than in Kincorth Academy?
A. There has been no misbehaving since

in Kincorth Academy?
A. The pupils mostly like the same hobbies,
music, socialising, sports, collecting things, drama,
theatre.
Q. How old were you when you started
to learn English?
A. When you start school at age 6.
Q. What are your opinions on the
European union?
A. Belarus is not a member yet so we don’t
have much of an opinion. We are a young independent
country.
Q. Would you like to see Belarus
part of the EU?
A. Yes. It would be very useful.
Q. What did you think about the
election in the Ukraine?
A. It was very difficult as some of us
have relatives in the Ukraine. They took a very long
time to decide and they have the right to choose the
president they want.
